The virtual world is constantly being loved by many. This love is growing rapidly making a number of activities being transformed from the real to the virtual ones. The ease and convenience to get connected with others personally or professionally has become the major reason behind this transformation. People, who cannot meet with their dear and near ones, feel grateful to the technology to let them connected to one another through internet. The same is with the businesses as well. Though, they have not left the way to reach their prospects conventionally, but they got an interesting way of promoting them and their things online to reach a massive audience.
Web-based applications have attracted the global audience a lot. Now, for every activity and every purpose, there is an app online to help you with. If you need to buy something or sell, play some games or read something online - you are supported with different applications to go with. A number of mobile applications are there on the internet that can be easily downloaded or installed on your smartphones, iPhones and other devices to serve multiple functions. However, if you are into a business or a marketer and work for designing quality mobile applications, you have plenty of things to consider. There are certain steps that you should essentially take on before launching a mobile app so that it gains the desired level of popularity among your targeted audience. Before launching your app in the market, you should be sure of the differences between the Android and Apple market. Hence, differentiate your target audience accordingly.
Keywords for the App
Google Developer Console hardly has any box for entering your keywords so that you can take advantage of the AppName and AppDescription. On the other hand, the AppStore holds a limit up to 99 characters.
Name of the App
The name of the app is the first thing that clicks on the minds of your target audience. The name should grab the user’s attention and should fulfill certain requirements. The name should be descriptive in order to let everyone understand, for which purpose this app is designed. However, this does not apply to a well-known brand having an already established market base.
However, you should include the keywords on both i.e. the Google Play and Appstore, within the name of the app. According to a research, the Appstore users just read out first 19 characters of the name. Hence, this requires you to take some extra care while writing up the name. On the Google Play store, you are limited up to 30 characters for your app’s name.
App Description
Believe me, nobody reads out the description. It does not matter as if there is infinite space for the app description, it would be worth focusing on just first 3 lines. It gives you a limited space for informing the user about the major features of your products, the benefits to downloading the app, the best reviews. You can also add other details below this i.e. The other apps you have made and the way, users can contact you through social networks or by email.
Icon of the App
You should essentially seek a designer’s help to get the icon designed for your app. It should be a customer-friendly app. Remember, changing an icon can surely change the fortunes of your application. You should keep the icons to be simple and consistent with its design. It should also adopt a common theme to be friendly with the users.
App Screenshots
Try using screenshots to explain better about the application. You just not need to simply upload the screenshots of your app; add some text and illustrate as to how your customers can use the app.
Ratings of the App
Getting at least 5 reviews within the initial week of getting your app live is important. This encourages more people to download the app and it will hopefully bring further ratings as well.
App Updates
This section may include all the latest news or a new release. Everybody appreciates if an application evolves through fixing the bugs, innovating as well as adapting the changes required.
